Cultural Aspect of Falun Gong
In the traditional Chinese culture two main points are emphasized in Falun Gong. The first one is the belief in divine and the second one is the difference between good and evil. The good side is weaker than the evil side and they change with the strong morality. Falun Gong makes a big part in the Chinese culture in the pursuit of justice, faith, kindness, and courage. The culture has embraced the concept of "oneness of heaven and man." The way to achieve oneness is the cultivation practice. In this religion the cultivation is an important thing in every aspect of the Chinese culture. The three main points that is in Falun Gong is that it practices of truthfulness, compassion, and Forbearance. To figure out where a practitioner stands is how he/she judges right from wrong which is a total reflection in Chinese culture.
As time passed Falun Gong has become part of the Chinese culture. Every year since September 1989 in China they have done a culture day that only is about a day long. They have composed traditional songs and music. Artists have created art work of the persecution that they face in communist China. Many Falun Gong practitioners try to explore their cultural roots and so they started to be a part of culture day by including the religion in it. They have many posters for visitors so they can learn about Falun Gong. There are also volunteers that teach the visitors the exercises that are involved. They have also tried to inform the visitors about the persecution that they face. Artists have created art work of the peaceful ways and persection that they come against in communist China.
